grand prix gas fill problems...

lady at work asked me about her 99 grand prix problem...

when she fills up with gas - she can only fill it slowly... she cant just squeeze the pump and let it flow 100%

im thinking something in the filler neck isn't working right or some sort of vent/purge canister type issue...any ideas?

I had a similar experience. I realized I was putting it too far in and at a wrong angle. Now I just set it on the filler hole. Every time I would pull the trigger all the way it would snap back and stop. I had to squeeze it 1/2-3/4 of the way to pump. I'm always paranoid it's going to fall off while pumping. Don't know if it's the same thing but good luck!

Just tell her there may be something seriously wrong, and you will need to get a closer look. Tell her to bring the car to your house. Cook something awesome. tell her everything will be ok as long as she doesn't go in a the way. Proceed to eat awesome dinner and go balls deep.

back ontopic! why would this all of a sudden be a problem and multiple locations?

1 is a problem, 2 is not, how about 3

was this at different gas stations? ive has issues at one gas station but not others.

its all gas stations - I asked the same question because my burban has the same issue at 1/3 gas stations by my house...

It's probably a clogged charcoal canister not venting properly.
