Amy just called and said the Buick Park Avenue oil light came on and the Pressure reading dropped to 0. She also says the car is not "ticking" at all and appears to be running normally. Oil Pressure Switch?

She just pulled into the driveway and the motor sounds normal. She was two blocks away so I told her stop and shutdown instantly if she heard any ticking but the motor seems fine. Oil pressure is reading 0 on the dash. gotta be the Oil Pressure sending unit, right?

inboard of passenger front wheel above the oil filter. its pointing towards the rear of the car and has a neon green electrical connector.

brakeclean the shit out of the area before you pull it out to minimize any grit getting into the motor during removal/install

you can remove the old one with channelocks or a deep 1 1/16th or is it 1 1/8th socket or a genuine OPS socket

when installing the new one be carefull with the channelocks as deforming the crimp point can lead to you pumping oil all over a highway suddenly

youll likely see the inside of the green connector covered in oil, brakeclean it off well for future oil leak diagnostics as the sensors love to seep oil through the pins and oil will collect inside the connector...easier to tell down the road sorta thing

It should either be above or behind the oil filter.
