Where Chester Copperpot ?
I'm torn. I think the 2018 F-150 is an amazing truck. The technology, advanced safety features, maneuverability and ride quality are unparalleled. And the new 10-speed is a great match with the 5.0.
But then there's the 6.2-liter Chevrolet/GMC, which is a fucking powerhouse. It's not as nice, rides rougher, is more old-school truck-like but is so flipping fast. And the 6.2 is more responsive than the EcoBoost engines.
So I'd buy a 2018 F-150 and dump the 6.2 in it.
Shit, that doesn't count.
hmmmmmmmm
Probably a Silverado 6.2.
That thing is an n/a v6! for $43k....... with no leg room. And you guys make fun of me for bashing GM trucks. With a v8 and crew cab that's a $50k+ truck, and it's still going to have the weak 5.3. If it was a 6.2 totally different story.
For me it'd be an XLT F150. The only question is engine options, like discussed in the other thread here's what you have:
2.7: high boost, high compression ratio, lower towing, fast acceleration (as fast as the 3.5EB), great value, longevity concerns if you tow
5.0: can't go wrong, but no turbos
3.5: 470 ft lbs torque, bad mofo, can be had for ~$45k MSRP which is a fucking bargain for a crew cab
forget the color...in terms of bang for your buck it doesn't get any better than this. Even if the price is just to get you in the door and it ends up being 45k it has more room, more features, and way more power than the silveraydo above

DAMNIT RICH DID YOU HAVE TO POST A V FUCKING 6
$47K STICKER FOR AN N/A V6 WITH THOSE TINY FUCKING DOORS....WHAT AN OVERPRICED PIECE OF CRAP
Thank you Rich for proving my point that GM makes overpriced trucks with no features and no horsepower
What's a silveraydo with the 6.2 cost.....$55-60k??I'm torn. I think the 2018 F-150 is an amazing truck. The technology, advanced safety features, maneuverability and ride quality are unparalleled. And the new 10-speed is a great match with the 5.0.

That's a sick truck but screw paying that for a 1500, it doesn't even outperform the $45k 3.5 ecoboost
4.3 6l80 crew checking in. 285hp/300lbft 7000lb towing with 27highway and 20mpg, 10/10 would buy this again. I hard from this truck. (I bought a crew cab for comfort) HOWEVER I have used a double cab as a loaner and I'd venture to say even KJ Knee's would be safe. so . . .NEXT

I didnt look at engine to be hoinest. I saw white and Z71. Figured all z71 had to be a V8
God damn new trucks are expensive as hell...
Buy used
I'm saying even with the carseat behind it.yeah. ive ridden in double cab gm's. im 6'5" and i fit plenty well in the back seat.
Really doesn't matter, just the fact that the sticker is $47k and all you get for it are some black wheels and a black grill is enough to make me never consider a GM truck. I don't know how anyone can justify that price for a double cab v6
I've been eyeing this truck at Wolfe gmc . Thing has rubber floors though . I believe they still have it.

Define "outperform".
So are used trucks. Financing, incentives, and availability of what you want comes into play
