This honestly made me appreciate Rogue One and Ep 7 so much more. Ive been riding the 7 was just a new hope train but looking back thats ok, b/c it did nostaliga and more importantly, the fans a service.

I know, right? VII was such a masterpiece compared to this one.

I kind of thought that was cool....until literally only 3 people inside survived, while 100s died...oh and two storm troopers who were literally just STANDING behind phasma as she fought finn. no joke, they just stood there with their blasters pointed at the at st piloted by bb8.

That whole scene with phasma was such a throwaway. Just a fucking waste with her.

EVERYTHING was a waste. Aside from Rey and Kylo, none of the characters evolved...and really, Rey didnt evolve much either.

Then I am interested. It's funny, Harrison ford showed more care in his role in seven then Hamill in eight. And we all know how much Harrison was like, I don't care about these.

It was a disservice to the character. Terrible lines, zero meaning....was a cheap nostalgia grab and it failed.

Also, the end of 7 was so tense b/c Rey was giving luke back his lightsaber...his tool for the jedi...and then to open 8 and to have him throw it over his shoulder like it was nothing? Looking for a cheap laugh...........wow
