This was a colossal failure. Like 10 boats, two or three of them pontoons. Nothing that loud or fast. Weak shit. Huge gaps in boats running. Lots of downtime between the same boats lapping over and over.

Well if I had a offshore boat that was worth a shit. You wouldn't catch me racing it on grass lake. That's probably what the deal is.

Between the NIOC drama currently going on, paired with this being the Chicago Scene weekend, I'm not totally surprised by the turnout. Sucks regardless, it'd be cool to have events like this actually take off in the area.

i think the other issue this weekend was as [MENTION=12]Bru[/MENTION] mentioned, the michigan city races, a lot of my "boat friends" crossed the big puddle for that

Yeah, I guess there's a lot of debate about allocation of charity funding AFAIK.

Also, they didn't have any broadcast or PA telling MPH, prop, engines, driver names, etc. A course worker told us they couldn't get the permits in time The only way I knew MPH was Facebook, and after the event.

not a good way to start your first event. with if being a flop, I'd wonder if they'll get the permit to make it all no wake again. if they attempt to have another shoot out
