What makes Michelangelo's David amazing in person? Is it the precision of the artwork?

I'm just glad the placid size is realistic so girls don't judge.

The sculpture has an energy to it, which is even more noticeable when you see the recreation outside the Uffizi that looks lifeless in comparison.

I was in Rome and Venice last summer. I *hated* Venice. Place was a dump. The novelty was cool when we rolled in, but staying there 3 days was about 2 days too long. Rome was great though.

Florence was a way better time food and fun wise over rome and venice. we ended up just doing a day in Venice and that what was all that was needed.

Also please tell me you had some cinghiale in Firenze. Man I know everybody says it, but could have totally gave you some good places to get food there!

I wish I would of had your Fiat 500 rec a few days earlier. I would have totally done that. We should have taken a day away from Venice and added it to Florence. Just didn't have enough time there to do everything.

Oh God. Northern Italy is soooo much better than southern Italy.

Florence, Milan, Verona, Venice, Sirmione/Lake Garda. Every time I go there I gain 10 pounds!

Anyone care to comment on best place they’ve been city wise there? Wife reallllly wants to go to Italy for like a week. I’m not quite on board and rather do Croatia or Thailand.

Pics look awesome but I like the honest review. Seems like Venice is a day at most, Rome maybe 2 and Florence 2-3?

Florence to me was the best out of the three. Been to Dubai? That place was crazy in a whole different way. My wife raves about Prague, unfortunately I didn't go.

Dubai is on MY short list, but it’s like the worlds Vegas haha. Wife isn’t quite as enthusiastic but maybe I could just convince her with spas

My wife loves it. And you can quick trip over to Abu Dhabi and see some more classic middle east culture for a few days.
