I feel like that is extremely appropriate review, as I'd say a majority of the "modded" 3800's are nothing but intakes and exhausts...terrible terrible tinny rattly garbage exhausts.

It's just a boring car to watch a video about, it would be like watching him drive my wife's cruise it has tires and a cold air intake almost on the same level of mods as this Impala

Would be much more interesting if this was one of the One-Takes at a track so you could see the suspension fully extend.

Guy at RA runs slicks on a bone stock Camry. In the carousel the thing fully extends the inside shocks while bottoming out the outside. Its kind of funny to watch it go around the corner at almost a 30° body roll angle.

Whats funny is that with the HV3 on my GT it pulled at high RPMs with the SLP headers I felt a lot better. 1/4 mile suffered. Went faster in the 1/4 with it off. I think the 3:69 gears would have complimented it better.

Then again, if I did it all over again, a top swap would have been done asap.

Must have been a Camaro thing. I had a 2000 3.8 and 2001 5.7 that both would stay in second. The 2000 3.8 even had something called "2GS", 2nd Gear Start. A button you push so the car starts off the line in 2nd gear to help control all that 3.8 power off the line!

I believe it was meant for the snow to put less TQ to the wheels, which in turn *should* keep them from spinning. There's quite a bit of torques in DAT 3.8.

When I went to gingerman I left it on 2nd as well. But I never needed another gear. The combination of no power and torque meant that I pulled hard out of corners and topped out 2nd at 100mph on the back straightaway. Man that day was so much fun.

my astro and tahoe will start in second from second.

the fwd stuff starts in first, but it'll hold it to second. that's ok, a 4t65 will run to 85-90 in second before popping the limiter.
