If Hollywood wants a remake, redo 2 & 3, not 1. Have Keanu's age explained by some kind of gimmick and make better sequels to tack onto the original 1. That would even be a new idea which Hollywood seems to have a hard time coming up with.
Now here's a series where the original set up what could have been such an awesome trilogy...and they fornicated the canine with the rest of the movies.
