I absolutely would not be. I'm not spending 40k plus on a daily driver. Not unless it's a Tesla which I have wanted for a long time.

Not with how many miles I drive. Car in this price range would be worth 1/4 of what I paid retail in 2 years

The 365 HP version starts @ $52,000, which is very steep.

Buy a Chevy SS and call it a day.

This has happened with other cars such as the SS being priced around $42-$44K before Chevy confirmed it and it was spot on.

Still, 40K base price for a Kia is very high. Loaded the GT will be over 60K OTD. Getting close to CTS-V territory.

Seems to me ( and I could be way off) that this is supposed to compete with something like the BMW gran coupe, or anything that has that 4 door coupe look. Maybe not a direct competitor but that's my take.

Sporty 4 doors that look and drive like 2 doors. It's not a huge market yet but it's growing. The new Audi A5 is going to be there as well in 2018.

I agree that the front end is blah. The side, rear 3/4, and rear I like though.

And I love that it's a hatch. Which makes it uber useful.
