So, this is my guess.
The dinosaur we see in the thumbnail and in the kids bedroom is the scaled down version of the Indominus Rex from Jurassic World. And of course in true Jurassic Park fashion, they've escaped and turned against their creators.
Will probably see, pending further trailers.

From Jurassic World the Indominus Rex was just a theme park version of the dinosaur they really wanted to design. They designed a much smaller one, which is what we are seeing in this film.
It certainly does look ridiculous. When did dinosaurs get boring? I mean, the T-Rex should still be terrifying in any situation.
I know this is a movie, so its not going to follow logic. But we have bullets that would blow a hole the size of a watermelon in these dinosaurs. Ones that they can't shrug off like they got a mosquito bite.
