Wife and I rewatched the original over the weekend. As an adult I think I laughed more than I should have, probably was just the poor acting. As a kid I would have peed my pants . I had no idea Tim Curry played Pennywise. Poor guy suffered a major stroke and is paralyzed now :tear:

I think I'm going to end up chickening out of seeing this at the theater. That book was just so terrifying. I really hope the movie isn't just full of those cheap jump scares with accompanying loud noises. The source material is scary as shit.

After watching the final trailer, I had dreams last night with Pennywise. Messed up.

This movie is going to be split into two parts. The first part, the movie we get next month, its going to be focused on the kids before theyre adults.

The second movie will then take place during their adult lives. It will follow the book more or less.

Yes, they battle IT twice in their lives. The first time they defeat IT as kids, but IT comes back when they're adults. Then they fight it again and I won't go into the rest as it might be considered spoiler-y. There is plenty of source material to make it into two movies. It would be really condensed if they tried to squeeze the whole thing into one movie.
