Also my dad's truck is probably pretty comparable to the truck KJ has, just a couple years older. He has the full center console and buckets though, which I think is key. Seats aren't uncomfortable, but they're about average. Interior materials are pretty trash, but about what I'd expect from an XL/XLT style truck. I will agree with ride quality, but then again it is a truck. Feels like it's bouncing around over rough pavement, rather than soaking up. The big show on these trucks is the interior space (seriously the backseat is gigantic) and the engine/trans'. I drove a 2.7T/6-speed truck, and really wasn't impressed. Got a lot of seat time in the 3.5/6-speed which is awesome aside from the terrible noise it makes. Never driven the 5.0 though, and thought I'd never want to, but I just might have to...

solid description. the seats aren't bad, but id much rather be in my manual adjustment 200k mile seats out of my 2007 gmc sierra...

What all would you like to steal from that truck to replace what's on yours?

engine/trans combo for sure- 5.0/10 speed is light years ahead of the 6.0/6 speed in my truck, of course.

Have you driven the same truck with the 3.5 ecoboost? If so what engine would you pick, the 3.5 ecoboost or the 5.0?

i have driven a 2017 (maybe it's a 16?) 3.5 6 speed combo

id like to drive 3.5 10 speed, but 5.0 ten speed vs 3.5 6 speed and im going 5.0 all day long.

but im also a "simple is best, simple is fastest" type of person, and i just like how well the 5.0's do across the board. nothing against the 3.5, i just really like the 5.0

oh and the 5.0 sounds sexy as fuck which no one can ever say about the 3.5.

it's a really interesting color, looks purple-y sometimes, brownish sometimes, but typically looks black, i really like it.

just about 1500 miles on this across 28 hours of driving in the past week and a half.

i reset trip 2 when i got it, it's at 19.3 mpg, ive checked the dic and it's been dead nuts

it has e85 in it now, i filled it from about an eighth of a tank, but a lot of easy driving around 50-60 mph, DIC for trip 1 says 19.5

should be interesting if it stays around there.

I've rented two 2018 F150's recently on my trips to the NE. One was a 4x4 3.5 EB and the other was a 4x2 5.0.
After driving both, I would do the 3.5 EB. It felt more powerful even in the 4x4 trim. Gas mileage was obviously better.

$53K lowest advertised, although they come nicely equipped out of the box. Problem is you're probably spending all of that $53K for now, until the luster of the diesel has worn off, and there are a ton on the market.
