I had speed concerns for a couple years. Could not get my wifi over 40 mbps and my wired over 55.

Finally convinced a Comcast tech to rewire and BAM! Wifi in the high 80s/low 90s. I'm assuming the modem/router were getting a degraded signal.

As time moves on I find myself moving away from all in one devices.

I now keep my wireless separate from the router and just run an access point. A Dlink DAP-2660. Lots of nice advanced features to play with.

It's basically transparent to my internet connection. Though for moving gigabyte+ sized files like bluray MKVs I hard-wire everything.

If 10gig-E would come down in price if be all over it.

I dont need anything that fancy. If I can stream youtube, netflix and my spankbank library, Im happy.
