So how does it even get done? Does the dealership just let this eat in to their profit margin or does the mechanic get f'd? I can't imagine you'd get a mechanic to take a 20hr job if you're only going to pay him 10 hours.

the amount of money a dealer needs to have set aside to break the union is just crazy. Then you have other stuff that is union also as in porters and parts counter staff, and parts drivers, would need to break those also. It’s in millions to do so.
