It's the same at every single convention hall I've been to.... Need to pay some guy to bring your display to your booth... You want electricity? Extra cost plus need them to run it...


Some of the companies with huge displays must be paying out the ass for the setup time

There was a story in the paper a few years ago about just that.
Some Asian company was tired of being ripped off in Chicago, so they posted their bills for bringing their exhibit to Chicago.
They posted every nickle, the shipping to california, the trucking to CHicago, the cost of unloading from the dock to their spot.
The cost to move their equipment from the dock to the spot was some insane cost, double or triple plus?? of what it took from Asia to CHicago.

IIRC, they posted it was like 100 & some change feet from the dock to their spot.

No other place in the entire world, they claimed, cost what it did in Chicago!!!!
