I have a personal friend IN JAIL serving 5+ years for beating the shit out of a so called friend who was stealing and selling his stuff....go figure.
I'd say leave the jerks alone so long as you can escape because you do NOT have to beat them, but definateley defend yourself. More RIGHT people are in jail for kicking the shit out of assholes today than you want to believe.
