I made a complete ass of myself at the gym last night. I've always worked out in my basement, but my weights are in storage now.

I have a Smith machine at home that doesn't require me to use my stabilizers at all when doing flat bench. I had a rude awakening when I only dropped a few pounds off what I normally can do. I got it up only a handful of times and I was really struggling on the last one. Some nice gentleman came over and helped me get it back up.

I need to start doing more dumb bell benching. I have no stabilizer strength, it's horrible.

Definitely hurt something last week. Doc gave me some anti-inflammatory meds and told me to stop working out my lower body so my hip can heal.

Guess it's curls for the girls until my hip feels fine.

Three days into this my fitness app. Sunday a friend of mine, a nutritionist, was telling me Im not eating enough, body is storing too much fat etc.
Opened my eyes, need to eat more to drop a few lbs. He suggested I eat about 4,000 calories / day. I was only eating about 1,800

Hmm, I always use My Fitness Pal when cutting. It always tells me to eat right around 2100 calories per day and always feel thats not enough it works as I average about 2lbs a week doing that. But I always feel week as shit and feel I lose to much muscle. Had a guy at the gym tell me I could eat 3000 calories a day and still lose weight.

229.2 as of today. Started wearing shirts that I haven't worn in 5+ years. All my recent shirts are starting to get too big. Found an As I Lay Dying shirt I had when I was a senior in HS, it's a fucking medium. My goal is to fit into that shirt again. Fuck being a lazy piece of shit.

In the 80ft walk from my truck, to the building, to my office, 4 different people stopped me today asking about wtf I'm doing and how I've been shrinking.

I jumped on a scale this morning for the first time in like 7 months and I havent been this heavy in 5yrs, lol. Oh well, time to start cutting weight again.

Plus, every Saturday I go for a ruck march (40, then 60 pounds, and adding another 20 soon) anywhere from 5 to 15 miles. Tuesday’s and Thursday’s are for running, which I think I will begin C25K soon.

Thing I am learning about myself is that my body is tougher than I had thought. Always thought I had a finite amount of energy and that exercise would make me more tired.

This month I finally got back into old clothes (shirt size medium/ 34” waist jeans) and it feels good. Also noticed I am getting stronger and have more energy overall. Going to continue this even further and can’t wait to be lifting more than my body weight.

I hit 385 squat the other day for a single and it went pretty quick so I knew I had more in me, tried 405 yesterday and got it no problem right before doing a brutal CrossFit workout lol, going light chest and arms today, hit 225x14 for my first set on bench after a warm up

what are your macros? you shouldn't be losing muscle mass even with a calorie deficit level as long as our macros are where they should be.

Skipped the gym all week. Felt good. I pinched a nerve in my back last weekend. Back at it this week though.

I need to make up a quick workout I can do in 30min. Find myself skipping ping way too much in summer to do other things. I’d wake up early to get in a quick lift before work instead of spending two hours of time between lifting and extra traffic after work.

Trying to get back into a normal routine. I go for a while, then I slack. Been working out with a buddy in my neighborhood for a few weeks. That's helped me a ton. It makes more held more accountable for going and getting in a good workout. Clothes are already feeling looser again. Energy is getting better. Overall been feeling good about this part of my life.

Finally out of the heavy lifting ban I've been in for the past two weeks from the doc and the hip pain has disappeared. Ran Tuesday and jogged yesterday with the pup and no lingering pain either times. Going to hit the gym back up tonight. Been in a real bad funk the past couple days. Need to raise my T and get back at it and stop being a sissy bitch.

Also got weighed this morning at the doc, 229 in jeans and dress shoes. So realistically 226-227 naked. Yet my digital home scale said 231 this morning. He asked me about losing weight to which I responded "I weighed 250-260 two and a half months ago" and he came back with "nevermind, you've already made way more progress than what I was about to suggest".

im cutting at 2200 right now and it sucks, i end up around 2700-3200 some days i can stay in the low 2000's though, after one week I lost 6lbs much of it was water weight I ate pretty bad that last week

I stayed right around 2100-2200 last week and gained 2lbs, lol. But I did drink a shit ton of rum the Saturday before
