ah. I don't hold craigslist posters to high standards. having pictures without a thumb blocking the registration numbers is good enough.

so crazy how much faster the staggered/narrow boats run than comparably powered side by side boats.

so much less drag, thats why they started going to steps so they could make them wider and still have the drag of the narrow boats or less drag, I have no idea how to figure out stuff like drag but id imagine the new step bottoms have less than a narrow v or they would still make narrow v's lol

Anyone know the going rate for a pair of wave runners with trailer is? Not looking for something too new but would want something that isnt 100 years old and will leave me stranded. I did a quick craigs search and saw prices all over the place.

you really need to narrow down what you want. this is about the equivalent of saying you want to buy a sports car that's not too new but not too old.

You can reliably find a good new-ish weekend beater for starting at $2500-2700ish. multiply x2 plus the cost of a trailer which is worth somewhere around $800.

depends how long you're willing to sit around and wait on a deal. right now is peak buying season, prices are generally going to be higher vs fall.

I'd have a hard time spending money on a pair of them. you're into boat territory as far as money at the point, and it's infinitely more useable

I would say something probably from 2000 and newer (not necessary), 1 or 2 seater would be fine and really don't care about being able to do 90mph+. I know my question is vague but I am honestly naive to wave runners. The only ones I have ever used were just friends and I know nothing about different models and what not. Would $5k for a pair be out of reach? Age isnt as important as being dependable.

I see stuff like this, obviously vague add but could you trust something like this? I dont mind spending a little bit of $ but these would only be casual use on holiday weekends.

My old man has a bass boat that I have access to but just looking to my own little fun toy. Are the seadoo jet boats junk? They seem quite inexpensive compared to others.

personally. id try to get a direct injected two stroke or a naturally aspirated four stroke... id even probably try to get something that started with Y or K because reliability is neat.

those two you posted will drink more oil than you can imagine, and be tempermental as fuck.

@boost21

2 Yamaha waverunners 700cc
2 Jetski's with trailer

both of those are reasonable, should hit 40-50mph range. Small old machines that are way lighter than the 11' long new stuff.
