Its perfect as is, cheesy plot, dialogue and all. Such an entertaining movie.

Also, such an amazing film score. The ending theme Respect the Wind with Van Halen is so hypnotic. When that guitar solo comes in, damn, so good.

I’m gonna say it, I think Helen Hunt has a great rack.

If it can be done right, i'd be ok with this. But with todays "standards" it would probably just be OVERLY CG'ed, and it would be turned into like a world disaster movie, and they'd have to fly into space for some reason and it would be overly political because climate change agendas. But I would still like to see what they can do with todays technology.

At the same time, the first was so iconic. The opening scene will STILL test your surround system to the max, and it did have such a fantastic soundtrack as well. And I mean.....Bill Paxton....

So I would also be ok with this NOT happening. Leave well enough alone
