they dont shatter like that, usually its in big sections.

or put them up high. The ones I dont want destroyed are mounted on the wall or hanging from the ceiling.

That's what my neurosurgeon said to do after brain surgery, which massively impacted my vestibular. Play games and don't stare at the same part of the TV the whole time.

nah, he will focus on other things no problem, just not as much interest yet. He likes the bigger non-lego ones more right now

That's what I used to do. Back then there really weren't any "kits". It was a box of mixed pieces and your imagination. I still have all of those mixed up in a bag at my mom's place.
