So, I ended on a good note. I finally visited Bob at Next Gen.

So my thoughts....

Dont be fooled by the low numbers, he woke this thing the fuck up! I mean, I as most others always are, hoped for higher numbers but going in I told him to focus on the trans. It was pretty sloppy and had delayed drawn out shifts, downshifts were horrid. Man I love it.

Oh, and as far as the Dragy goes. Before I only tapped like a 14.4 or 14.6 @ 94. The 60' time definitely dropped.

We'll see what happens when spring time comes around.

I gotta ask, Kooks headers but which mufflers are installed? Just watched the YouTube video and they sound niiiiice.

I have an 07 NNBS w/5.3 LY5 engine and got 300/300 on a Mustang chassis dyno. Only adjustment was going to 89 octane gas to bring the knock retard down. According to the tuner if I went to 93 I could get another 10-20HP out of it. I had it done when 87 was $3.50/gal so going to 93 wasn’t exactly something I wanted to deal with.

Actually improved my mileage about 8-10% and I left the AFM enabled. It was in its infancy so it doesn’t work as well as I think the engineers intended. The 4spd with 3.73’s doesn’t help either. Have 177k miles on it and mechanically she’s great. Body is rusting and rotting away though :(

Kooks 1-7/8" headers to their catted y-pipe into the stock exhaust. I wanted to keep it toned down. I love a good exhaust on a GM v8 but DD everyday it gets old. I like it

Sorry fellas, its been a while. Ran into some bad luck New Years day when the rear window shattered outta nowhere... I guess a common issue with the rear defroster over cooking, but I'm not sure.

As far as progress... well, I want this done and im still buying stuff but gonna have a local shop throw this stuff together but still gonna have Bob at Next Gen tune it.

BTR valvetrain ordered, except I at first settled on an OTS cam. But they sent him the wrong one. Didnt want a Stage 2 cam. So I opted to get a custom grind, just waiting back on BTR with their sollution/option.

Ordered the TB, but no Nick Williams... Katech CNC'd 95mm, as the throat on the LT5 adapter wouldn't have allowed be to get bigger, and I didn't wanna drop $800+ on the 103...

My fuel pump is still my main concern. I wanna run e85. Only way to efficiently run with great power is dual pumps. The company I bought the assembly from isn't responding on the sending unit issue. So I have to come up with something to fasten an OE 0-90 ohm unit to it. The 2nd pump will run off a Hobb switch.

Getting anxious, possibly might order a couple more minor parts (but pricey :fu:).

Plan was around mid january to bring it to the shop to start the work. Guess I'll be driving the old gal for a couple weeks then.
