The top Badlands has good off-road chops and the more-powerful 2.0-liter, but otherwise you’re stuck with a small backseat, older Sync 3 and poor ride versus something that isn’t trying to be an adventure-mobile.

We looked at one of these to replace the kid’s car. Drove okay until we got it on the highway.

They’re not desirable at all and clogging up most dealer lots so some heavy discounting is available pretty much anywhere.

You get one, get the 2.0 and not the three cylinder.

The 3 cylinder doesn't have all of the cooling system and block issues like the old 1.5 4 cylinder did.

I've also had some interest in a Bronco Sport Bandlandz edition. Mainly because I really like my '17 Escape AWD 2.0 Ecoboost. The 2.0 has been rock solid reliable for me and it makes good power. With 285 lb ft of torque and AWD it actually puts you back into the seat when you stomp on it from a dead stop.

I'll be kicking tires on a new car within the next year or so.
