Iā€™ll be honest Iā€™m interested...,if the 2.0 has 300hp plus awd? That would be perfect little ā€œtruckā€ for had runs assuming 750lb payload.

needs 1250+ at a minimum.

remember vehicle people/occupants come off payload capacity also.

minivans have more than this.

just like the Ridgeline this is what most 150/1500 buyers should be getting for trips to the depot and shuttling to the kids' activities.

The Ranger, Tacoma, Colorado are cozy in the back seat space.

If the Maverick has less seating space then it may not be a well received as a family vehicle.

Can't wait to see everyone who scoffs at the Ridgeline swing from this thing.

Since it seems geared towards more off-road prowess than the FX4, it would be neat if they can increase the crawl ratio. As well as add the electronic locker that the Escape has. Both would help with low-speed crawling and traction. Reviews of the Maverick off-road have shown limitations with the open diff and lack of transfer case.

Man, I was getting super excited reading this thread. Something like others have said. Just a Home Depot runner to take kids around with. Less than $30K decently optioned. Until I optioned it, and realized its pretty much the same damn cost of a Santa Cruz with less HP and towing. Cruze has 3500 lbs across the board unless you get AWD then its 5000. Maverick is 2000 or need to get the 4K towing package and ecoboost engine for 4000.

Maybe I should just buy a Ridgeline.
