Yeah but what if. What if they did a real 4 door 5.0 like the pic I posted? Would it be that bad? People LOVED the Chevy SS, CTSV, the charger SCAT/Hellcat and many other 4dr sports/muscle cars. Im sure it would sell very well. Its the mustang for the family man. I mean if Ford did it right, it would be a huge seller.

The V has been sought after since it came out. The SS in the end years had a tough sell, but it was an aged platform. Its not a super hot 10r80/3rd gen 5.0 which happens to be super popular right now. Open up the market to those that need usable back seats/rear doors, maybe throw some more power at it make it an even 500 you would have a winner I bet.

There are only 2 things I want from the 7th gen car.

DCT trans paired with the 5.0 and a fresh interior.

500hp NA with a DCT and a fresh interior would be what the Mach 1 should have been!

I mean the engine was a performance engine designed under the guise of being a reliable & strong Super Duty engine. So not outside the realm of possibility that it could be in a mustang.

But I don't see it happening directly from Ford. Unless it's a Cobra Jet variant or something like that.
