So an old friend of mine from Cal city has been in the chemical industry for 8 years now. He's 3 years older than I.
He just got a job where my mom put in 13 years of work.
It's permanent swing shift. I know, my mom did it for half my life.
Some of the guys I met back then are still there and he says they are at like 700 hours of ot each year.

Yep - Nuke Plant Equipment Operators and Reactor Operators can commonly see 600 - 800 hrs OT a year.
You can always tell when a departments OT is being cut for a long period as the bulletin board in the cafeteria fills with hobby cars, boats, etc. for sale ads.
Why do tax forms take so damn long to be delivered? I’ve got multiple things that won’t be available until mid February. Everything is digital, why can’t this crap be generated instantly and spit out.

So hillbilly truck gets towed in.
I find a blown fuse. It's responsible for the fuel pump.
I install new fuse expecting it to pop immediately. It didn't and truck started.
I quoted a new fuel pump cause it's shorting out, just not right this second. But it will short again and pop fuse.
Turns out no fuel pump in the country it'll be a month.
Guy takes truck back and buys 10 fuses from us.
Picks it up calls 1 hour later bitching cause the truck died... Again...
