    Netflix Stranger Things

Saw Metallica last night at Lolla and there were actually a ton of younger kids there mixed in with the older fans. Hell of a show.

TCG armchair doctors, please step in

Covid definitely making the rounds again. Wife woke up at 2am Monday with body aches, chills and cough, tested positive shortly after. Both kids got it last night, mild temps and overall fussiness. My 4 month old seems to have it worse, he and I have been up since 3am trying to get him asleep...

Aside from a few touch ups, paint is done. On to landscaping next.

🏡 Better Homes Brag / Complain About a DIY Project Thread

Built my kids a playhouse modeled after an old camper. Still have to paint it but I’m happy how it turned out. I used the old boards from my fence for the exterior, took a lot longer to cut each piece to size but saved a ton on materials. Old pic of what it used to look like. Area cleared...

    Greasy’s Yosemite Thread

Nice! Can’t remember the name of the trail but I’m pretty sure that’s it. There aren’t too many from that parking lot so you should be good, the drive down there is interesting, pretty steep at some points. There is not a lot of shade on the trail so I recommend lots of water. It’s pretty flat...

    Greasy’s Yosemite Thread

Yosemite was the first National Park I went to on my own (non-family vacation) and was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I’ll never forget the drive into the park, going through the tunnel and then coming out to the valley and El Cap in all its glory. Hiking around those few...

    Greasy’s Yosemite Thread

Glad you enjoyed it and sounds like you had the exact same conditions we did. It was so hot and little to no shade up the trail, my wife had a hard time the entire way which took away from it. Don’t get me wrong, still an awesome view, but afterwords we wished we spend the time/effort on other...

    Greasy’s Yosemite Thread

Another recommendation is Tuolomne Meadows. While the meadows themselves are nice, it’s the drive out/back that is amassing. This is the main road that goes to the east gate, definitely worth the drive as the views are incredible.

    Greasy’s Yosemite Thread

Nice pics! Yosemite is an amazing place, been there twice. Few years back we did upper Yosemite and, for how strenuous a hike it was, didn’t feel it was worth it. If time allows, hit up Hetch Hetchy, it’s a separate part of the park altogether and not as crowded as the main areas. This was one...

What do you guys think of the 2015 Buick Regal GS?

Makes sense. The sweet spot from my experience is 70-75, can see 33-35 easily.

What do you guys think of the 2015 Buick Regal GS?

I regularly get low to mid 30’s highway in ours on mid-grade/premium, is 29 just what it’s rated by the EPA?

Bob Hope’s give me your opinion on wtf I think I want to buy v: new car

Body parts would be my biggest concern, aside from that it’s a lot of standard GM parts despite being Opel. Wife got rear ended a month ago, all parts in stock aside from the rear lift gate, hopefully it won’t take too long to find one, but we’ll likely have to go with a used one. The EU...

Bob Hope’s give me your opinion on wtf I think I want to buy v: new car

Do it. Not too much more than what we paid for ours in 2019 surprisingly.

What do you guys think of the 2015 Buick Regal GS?

No issues with rear facing and I’m 6’3” with the seat decently far back and car seat behind me. I do mid-grade 90% of the time, premium the other 10. Now a-days I’m considering regular given gas prices, but luckily my wife WFH 3 days a week so we don’t put many miles on it.

What do you guys think of the 2015 Buick Regal GS?

I have one and love it. Felt the same way initially about the transmission, but after getting an Explorer for a company car that all changed. I hate the 10 speed in it and miss driving the Buick (wife’s car now) and its smooth shifts. Thought about the Trifecta tune at some point as a lot of...

💬 OT What are you working on today?!

Felt a bit white trash doing it but whatever, worked better than expected. I’m on a decently busy residential street and got a lot of interesting looks from passing cars

Took down my fence over the weekend to prep for a new one. Had to get creative to remove the posts. If it works it ain’t stupid, right?

🏡 Better Homes The sump pump thread

100 year old house with 2 sumps and live near a quarry so the water table is pretty high. Pumps have been running steadily since the rain yesterday, and do so after most measurable rainstorms. The more frequent 100 year rains have been fun. Backyard turns into a swimming pool and numerous...
