If its making anywhere near the 700whp you guys are shooting for, street tires will be worthless anywhere in every gear...I'd imagine even ramping the boost gradually it's going to blow the tires off/skate all over the place. Put the slicks on it and make some 1/8 passes to get some good data....

of course i've got a helmet, and the car has a rear battery with external disconnect, i was more worried about a cage cert, belts, and a general chassis certification. should go bottom 10's maybe touch into single digits....

Well sometimes at byron you don't even have to take the car out of the trailer lol. They are VERY lax, I've never raced at 66 but I understand they are Uber strict. I have an idea what my car will run but I don't have a fire suit, shute, or anything other than an 8 point cage.

How strict are they on tech? Like similar to Byron or more like 66?

Just seeing if it's worth making the 2.5 hr drive for only 5 hrs of racing lol

how many runs do you typically get on one of these nights? never been to gld before...

Thanks guys, Byron didn't happen today but I'm a little more motivated to get some stuff going with the car. Need to do a few little things and I'm going to try to get to chubbys soon.

ac is a pita, and creates a whole different set of challenges, inlcuding the turbo kit i built around not having it haha. I just dont drive it on 90+ degree days. spool is cheap, but i will need axles as well. boost controller is like 600, and a couple hundo for a 2 step, not a huge deal, but...

Honestly some of it is money, but most of it is that im.burned out of working on this thing. It's been such a project that working on cars all day, then doing side jobs 2 or 3 nights a week, then coming home and trying to be motivated to get working on my own junk.

Yeah being an adult sucks lmao. I don't want to buy a brand new bike but no matter what I get is going to be 14-18k, and I don't want a loan for that much. I've basically got quite a bit of capital to play with if I sell the car, but I guess I can't make my.mind up about it. Maybe I just need...
