So I currently have a 23' Colorado ZR2 and an 06 Vette.

I'm giving heavy consideration to selling both and replacing them with this:

Is this as stupid as it seems?

What would TCG do?

I mean you’re talking about only having a 2 seater? Single vehicle?

I think what you have is a rad combo and not seeing the benefit of the c8 for what, daily driving? wtf you need that for to go to the grocery store?

Are you willing to put gas cans, used oil, mulch, and stuff like that in the trunk? Can you fit your weekly groceries into your 5 bags? You can't fit anything longer than probably 2.5' in the truck. It can easily be a problem.

You live in an area where you can get away with one vehicle since you don't have snow and ice to worry about. But one car has to be actually usable. The C8 doesn't exactly fit that.

Buy a c8 and get a cheap truck for a run around.

I'd prob DD a sports car if I was single and lived in a nice climate. What do C8's sell for nowadays relative to MSRP, and how many miles a year do you drive? It's going to depreciate like crazy but if you enjoy it, f it.

The problem with c8's is they have to be optioned absolutely perfect otherwise they look like a chinese knockoff ferrari. That blue one looks good

If there is a second vehicle involved then go for it. You clearly like the c8. I just couldn’t imagine life in such a small thing with no other option.
I mean people own Miatas as their only car. Some people don't even have a car. Yet they make it work.

But it sounds terrible. haha

What is the pup going to ride in? I am leaning towards no unless you'll be picking up another vehicle to tool around in that you don't want to mess up.
This would be a year out.

Once Grace gets down here, her car will be the useable multi seat haul shit around in car.

Then it makes more sense.....I think.

Because I wouldn't want to lose 50k on a chevy. Z06's are already depreciating quickly vs what they sold for a year ago, in a few years a 40k mile version of one isn't going to be worth shit.
I didn't say it had to be a new one. And I doubt people are still buying new and paying an ADM if the used market is so soft.

And if he has one car taking depreciation, it probably wouldn't be any worse than depreciation on two cars.

And we aren't too worried about thinking too hard on this. Depreciation isn't as bad of an issue as having a two-seater as your only car.
