Elon would be the initial choice, l’d have to do a ton of prework to be able to have a good conversation with him or any of them so that would kill most of the joy. I don’t see an outcome for any that wouldn’t ultimately be a job interview. That’s just how those guys think.

Rather than starting off with a bunch of focused questions I would rather just talk about background and experiences and then go from there.

None of them, I got nothing in common with any of them. So it would be lunch in silence.

I would say if you ever have a chance to speak someone highly successful in a field, you take that opportunity. It's not about what you have in common or what you know. It's about listening to things they have to say. Where you are likely to learn something new that you can apply in your life. People who are very smart usually have a way to explain things in a why that anyone could understand. Learning is valuable. There is always something more to learn, So an opportunity like this could amaze you.

I will say watch out of people that seem narcissistic. They will want to talk about themselves and opinions.

I'd choose elon, but all of the topics that he's an expert on have been covered ad nauseum across multiple podcasts. I'd start by asking him more about the areas of his companies that have more to do with my background (supply chain), and try and get his take on that. I genuinely think that he believes that engineers run the entire world and are the only valuable people in a company, so it might be a quick lunch, but that's fine.

If it's a test, you'll pass that one or you won't. Prep won't help you.

I could see that. I'd argue Bezos is worse. Look at the way they hire and fire people, there's no humanity to it; If you stay around computers too long you start treating people like they are computers.

When I was in Houston and saw Musk in a Q&A, he went off on tangents so I think having a list of written questions would be the way to go.
I'm letting the guy speak honestly, if people get into chatty kathy mode is when they tend to say too much. Then again, if he says too much it goes back to the idea that these are the kinds of people that could probably have someone quietly killed.
