nice !

side note,
why the fuck do all p/u trucks need to be leveled !!?!?!?!
same problem with mine....and as i have been looking into full size trucks.... the RAM and GMC need it.

although, this seems easier and less expensive than other kits i have seen for other trucks.
i assume you will need an alignment ?

I've been considering it, but probably not until the tires on there are shot. When this happens, I will be looking to go with a 4" lift with the 20" XD Rockstar wheels on 35's. Currently, that setup won't fit in my parking structure, so I just decided to go cheap for now.

Just ordered my first mod for this bad boy, Rough Country Leveling kit :fy:

http://www.roughcountry.com/chevy_4wd_leveling_kit.html

I just installed mine this weekend. I also have Cognito upper control arms, pitman & idler arm braces and Bilstein shocks coming too. The torsion bar trucks need longer shocks because of the design. The upper control arms allow for higher rise in the front with out the arms hitting the bump stops. With the torsion bars you can adjust the ride height with the keys. They also correct the ball joint angles. When all installed I will throw the 35" Duratracs on.

Any time you adjust the ride height you should check the alignment. Raising the truck will effect the angles and locations of the control arms. When you raise the truck effectively changing the range of motion of the control arms the upper becomes shorter causing it to pull the top of the spindle in at the top. Changing the caster. Worth correcting the alignment for $75 when it makes the truck safer to drive and save on parts and tire ware.

Should look real good when it is done. Sweet looking truck already. But going to look that much better. :bigthumb:

ratio,

i know i know.... get this shit........05 frontier's came with camber bolts.
06 and up did not.

so i would have to spend extra $ on something the manufacturer should have installed originally.
how's that for a kick in the arse ?

im not going to do shit to this truck unless i know for a fact i'm keeping it.

Yeah, I am sure the penny counters figured out they could save money by omitting them. pita

I finally decided not to buy a new truck since this one is in great condition, mechanically sound and I owe nothing on it. Why spend another $15k+ for a newer version of what I have already. So some maintenance and upgrades are in the works. I can't wait to get off road with some buddies that have Jeeps and other off road vehicles. Will be fun.

we need pictures of your truck, especially after the duratracs.

those are the tires im leaning towards
I will for sure. Here it is leveled. Well 1" lower in the front until I get the upper control arms on. Tires on there now are 265/70/17. I have heard great things about the Duratracs so that is why I went with them. I have high hopes for them. Once every thing is installed I will start a build thread for it instead of hijacking this thread anymore. haha

oh, OP, you can see the step tubes I run in the pic.

Yeah, My tire place does tire rotations if you buy the tires there. Good deal except that you have to wait forever to get it done. Even with an appointment. haha Oh well. Will have to check out Firestone for the alignment deal.

I think I paid 160 for it for my Jeep, but I'm not positive. Will report back when I set it up on the new truck.
