I was looking for some supercharger gaskets for the GTP a few weeks ago and it was a Saturday and I needed them asap. The dealer (hoskins) that I normally buy parts from with my dads account didn't have any in stock. So I went over to Woodfield. I went in and asked for two gaskets. The guy then gave me attitude and said in a loud voice the car only has one gasket. Then I got into WHY I needed two and the parts guy didn't seem to understand. So he leaves and comes back with one gasket and says that's all they got. Fuck them.

I forget the name of the dealer, but the Chevy on Arlington Heights and Higgins usually has supercharger oil. If its hoskins, my bad.

dude, i feel for you.....i can only imagine how irate you must be. i would be fuming as well !!
it's called the better business bureau....make the call man.

or call walter jacobson ! it sounds funny but you have to report them. if they are providing this level of " service" then they need to get nipped in the arse somewhere !

well heres an update with MORE BAD NEWS...i dropped my vette off at chevy last wed. and the agreement was that 2 new rocker panels were going to be ordered and my car should be done on friday..i said cool..come friday i get no call so i decide to call them.he tells me there was an issue and hes gonna call me back in a few minutes .. ok Fing GREAT! ..after waiting 2 hours with no call i decide to go in..i walk into his office and he gives me a dirty look and i say "whats broken now" he tells me to have a seat with attitude and says u know im really frustrated that you came here..i said i was gonna give u a call when i get answers..and that really pi$$ed me off..i gave him attitude right back..supposedly they want to blame previous damage caused from bottoming out or wear n tear..the front of the passenger side rocker panel (which they put 2 crack in) is slightly chipped broken off for w.e reason..and they dont want to replace it due to that..i tell him idc about the previous wear and tear damage.you guys broke my rocker panel in two spots and i want it replaced!..

so i talk to the Service manager and he gives me the same story and i gave him the same story back..i want my rocker panel that YOU GUYS broke in TWO SPOTS replaced..ok cool..new agreement is new passenger side rocker panel replaced..driver side rocker panel (that they only put a few chips in) be re-painted..which is fine with me

so today i decide to give them a call and ask when my vette is gonna be ready.oh look what a surprise a new story...supposedly they cant find anyone with a rocker panel for a 04Z06..and he tells me that its been turned into GM for a special part request or w.e..so basically i gotta wait for them to find a part IF there is one out there..because the computer said their not obsolete ..so he said u can leave your car here or u can pick it up till we find the part..so i go to pick it up and what a surprise my vette was left outside all week in the RAIN! and my interior is full of a body shops dust or w.e all over my panels, seat and door.it's kinda understandable that they gotta leave my car outside but to get that Sh** all over my interior is ridiculous ..i'm really at my limits with this dealer

You need to talk to the dealer principal or owner about this. These guys do not want to help you.

when i was looking for a frontier, none of the local dealers wanted to help...so i found trucks in other states and asked the local dealers if they wanted to help me get it, i.e. dealer trade or whatever...one dealer asked for 3K down just to contact the dealer in west virginia....the 2nd dealer told me no transport fee because they were dealer trading then tried to spring the 1900 bill on me....

so, if you can do it by yourself, and I MEAN ANYTHING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! do it yourself.
i think you are at the point where you gave them time and opportunities to make this situation right.
now,
you have it fixed correctly, the way you want it, by who you want, and you send them a bill.

dont give a dealer an inch, they are fuck bags !

shit is unbelievable gav'spurpleZ..i try to be nice to people at dealerships if i just so happen to HAVE to bring my car in for warranty work ..but if it's going to buy a car than i show no sympothy and i do what it takes to get what i want..their there to fuck you so you gotta go there to fuck them..

but yet my car is still not fixed and i'm at the point where im not gonna show no respect because they fucked up and wanna give me a hard time about it and still try to pursuade me into REPAIRING instead of replacing..fuck that noise

orief i was unable to find the rocker panel for a Z06 i saw them for verts and coupes but not z06

Ouch.. sucks man. Me and my cousin have had some bad experience with the Chevy dealerships too, they're send-offs. They wouldn't warranty his ticking noise from his engine or his brakes which were obviously defective from the factory. And the worst part is he bought the car BRAND NEW from them!!

O well, hope everything works out! Try taking the money and run to a bodyshop.

i understand you wanting to be nice with the service dept. since they are servicing your vehicle. being firm in tone and attitude is "ok"
but
at the point you are now, the gloves are off !!

have you taken the care to any of shops of your choice for the body work ?
i would get minimum 3 quotes, then go back to the dealer.

i've heard some terrible stuff about D&M including their customer service..if were talking about the same one (they have ALOT of classic corvettes) i almost bought a 04 coupe with 3k miles on it from the old man..the one on north ave has alot of vettes but alot of other exotics and oldschool Cobras..which the owner is a dipshit

Oh and for the record, it is required (by Law) that every manufacturer have, or produce replacement parts for a minimum of 10 years from the last date of manufacture of the car model (so C5 in your case) If they really contact GM and were told the part is no longer avalible, GM corporate can be fined heavily by the good ol US govt....

that is some interesting information right there and i think ill be bringing that to their attention since im gonna be going there tomorrow i think..because i just got a estimate from a shop that my buddy works at ..for everything to be repaired and repainted such n such (without replacing the rocker panel) the total is looking at $1300...anyone that works at a body shop or is familiar with service at dealers please send me a pm :grouphug:

Have you tried talking to your salesman about all of this? or the owner of the dealership? It looks like your not getting anywhere with the service department... keep on them. Its their damage that they did on the car and its a good thing you took pictures too. Worst case scenario... write a letter to GM.
