No. I can watch myself moving on the map but I've got to either hit the find me button or move the map. If I don't I just go off map.

It's like an interactive version of google maps on the computer, not a true gps.

So to navigate I have to go to the next page. It also doesn't reroute if I deviate. I have to recalculate the trip myself. You also can't choose your own route or an alternative

I thought we already went over the whole multitasking. Yes, you can have several apps open with other phones, but at the rate the damn iphone opens and closes apps, why???? Its primary target, IMO the Kindle, does hardly anything the ipad does.

IMO kindle has a better screen for reading and the battery life is much better on a kindle

Yes the Kindle is a better e-reader, but if you want more for your money the iPad would be a better choice, provided you could justify the extra money you will pay for books.

I bet a week after the ipad is out there will be a jailbreak for it. Then you can multitask all you want. I like the option of not having it all the time. Also all stock apps stay right where they left off. I don't have to type in tcg again once I close my browser or find the song I was listening to before I closed the iPod.

Ive read on the kindle. Its ok. I dont understand how the e-ink makes it easy on the eyes. You still need light. You can read a computer screen or your phone screen in the dark.

A regular stock iPhone can pick up where it left off no problem. Even most apps you buy can do this. I don't use the multitasker often.
