http://doc.state.wy.us/press_releases/2006/041706TwoWyoInmatesArrestedFollowingEscape.aspTwo Wyoming inmates, who escaped from a Texas facility, were brought back into custody within 34 hours following their escape on Saturday, April 14, 2006.
According to a spokesperson from the Rolling Plains Regional Jail & Detention Center in Haskell, Texas, Wyoming Inmate Joe Wilkinson gave himself up after about two hours following his escape. Mr. Wilkinson, 41, is serving 6 to 9 years for aggravated robbery, sentenced in Sweetwater County on September 20, 2002.
Wyoming inmate Robert Dix, 25, serving a 45 year to life sentence for second-degree murder in Natrona County, was arrested at 7:20 pm April 16, by officers of the Stamford Police Department, according to Rolling Plains officials.
Both inmates are serving their sentences in Texas due to lack of room in Wyoming prisons.
The Rolling Plains jail holds area, state and federal prisoners. Prison construction was finished in 2002. Saturday's was the first escape from the jail, local officials said. The escape is being investigated.
I got in trouble on Chitown for posting Ricky.
Guess he wasn't happy about it.
Good 'ol Ricky Ray
He was the center of the local Bike racing (street) scene back in the late '90s.
He was into some real bad shit, and everyone knew it. Just took awhile for the law to catch up with him. He would offer you money to steal your bike for insurance fraud at the track (how I first met him). He worked scams between here and TX. He also liked the "little girls" at the riverwalk in Naperville. Most of his bike monkeys were 13-15 years old...nice guy.
