Crap I cant remember why you have to notch the block. Is it to eliminate hot spots and KR? I know the head gasket does not match the bores.

even just a rough notch job will unshroud the valves at low/mid lift improving airflow... a full on proper notching involves an empty block and scribing the chambers to the deck to determin which head/s fit best for each bank, then the block and heads are matched/notched together.

the bbv recirculates the air before the core...i was telling al i wanted to wall of fhte bbv circle with rtv and pull the corugated fins out from that area so that the bbv air would be cooled by going throught he core and then back up through the definned core area to the blower inlet....he said no dice and still wants to delete the BBV entirely

as long as i get a toyota dizzy.... btw it's fun as hell driving a 98 intrepid in the rain with no brakes but the parking brake on the RR (i think the cable for the LR started to work loose by the time i got to gary from greensville IN

he said he hit 10psi today at ~5krpm .91* kr

not bad for a worked over L26/32 with 3.4 vs cam and headers....but i gotta feeling that damn catback is creating a bit of backpressure

i have confirmation from Al that he hit 10.5psi at 5800rpm......REALLY close to maxing the OE injectors at that rpm
