so basically let me see if this all is right

auto's are dogs and run high 15s, I think thats where they get the bad wrap!

autos with mods other than FI are still mid-low 15s?

manuals with a good driver are mid 14s, now is that with a clutch drop or what? If you don't do that they are what, high 14s?

Without FI the manuals are still low 14s or so?

Haven't run into an rx-8 yet and if I do, especially if some kid comes up to me at the track, i kinda want to know what to expect!

autos with FI have roughly 190-210whp with a huge handicap of not being able to launch within their powerband. So a boosted AT will prob still be in the mid 14's.

A manual needs god to keep it in the mid 14's. You need to feather out the clutch at 5.5K and shift perfectly at 9200 rpms to be in the 14.5-14.8 range.

If you dont launch within the powerband, a manual RX8 would run 15's - 16's.

Its truly a hard car to drive, remember the peak torque is at 6K rpms and peak Horsepwoer is at 8500 rpms.

PS - There are boosted RX8's with 400rwhp+ on the roads. If you come up against a boosted 8, have caution. With a good driver, they will easily be in the high 12's.

I was lying, there is no method to my madness.

except that you have no method... that is your method...

which brings me to something else...

Have you ever been sitting or standing while staring at something and you realize that at that second you were thinking about nothing, then *poof* because you thought of not thinking of something the feeling is gone?
