Only reason I say somewhat is because the powertrain is indentical to a 1g DSM, not unique to a GVR4. To me that takes the rarity down a notch. Not putting down the GVR4, its a kickass car, but all the go fast goods on that car can be had for alot less in a 1g....if thats all you want.

I suppose, but then again most 'rare' cars still share driveline components with other vehicles. Either way, I'd consider a vehicle of which only 3,000 units were ever shipped to the U.S. and now probably only 1/3 (or less) of that are left on the road, to be pretty rare.

Thats usually what the going rate is for a really clean GVR4

A REALLY clean and well maintained/modded GVR4 will go for 7-10k. With the economy where it's at right now, these cars have dropped to 7-8k range. A really clean bodied car that could use some work is usually in the 5k range. 3K can land you an OK platform to work with and anything lower than that is basically a shell with some parts.
