all fwd 3800 s/c cars sound like butthole, except when a blower which displaces more than half the engine rides above it.

That's the name of the game. drone out the horrible engine tone with blower whine. Mines not too bad with headers, high flow cat and stock exhaust from resonator back.

Yea daily driver mode is stock cat back, nice and low key. To restrictive though, it's night and day with the dump on there. I'm going to fab up a cutout somewhere but with the broke ass lowering springs on my car it sits about an inch lower than most lowered gp's, this giving me no room to put on except near the pass. rear tire.

found out with the riv...stock catbacks suck for tuning...too restrictive
we'll see how the drone is with the flowmasters vs how the 442 sounded with the flowmasters.

Al's OE catback sounds great on the 04 but once he revs up its got the rasp....

I guess all we need to do is get an exhaust snail to help mute the sound, this way our cars all sound bad ass like KJ's.

so i drove my car from mchenry... to west dundee... to schaumburg, back to west dundee, and then back to mchenry... with it open...

passed cops... lots of them.

not one lifted their eye to me. haha.

thats what i do!! have done it for most of the summer, not a single cop gave me any trouble or even looked at me.
