wifey tested positive sunday, mild symptoms that were gone within 24 hours
Kid got it the next day, had a cough and a fever, NBD

Jk. Rejected my test because I drank a cup of coffee and they didn’t like the color of my saliva.
We were notified youngest was exposed. So me and kids got tested yesterday. Youngest tested negative. Myself and 1 twin tested negative. 1 twin tested positive. This was after spending 10+ hours in the car together driving to MO and back over the weekend for wife's side family Christmas.
Youngest is 5, twins are 6.
Kids school doesn't take rapid test negative resistance actual results, but accepts rapid positive results. Said kids have to stay home for 24 days.

24 days is a long ass time. That being said, over the next week or so you'll probably all get it (assuming it's not a false positive). not a big deal anymore, omicron is like a cold
When my Dad still had his license (15yrs ago) prior to his DUI's. He had an older Ford Ranger that some shop out here quoted him at like $1200 to replace the heater core.
Told him, give me a shot at it before you spend that money. Flushed the heater core, also did a complete flush of the cooling system. He never had another issue after that lol.

Daughter tested positive for Covid yesterday with flu like symptoms. She is vaxxed. Also staying in her room.
Though, the Wife is walking around the house with a mask on (last night / this morning). She asked if I’m going to put one on. I was polite, but Hell No and neither are the other 2 kids. This is all going a bit too far. We didn’t wear a mask pre-Covid when someone had the flu. Simply stay in your room until you feel better.
I’m thinking, WTF has this world come to.

I vividly remember my 99 XJ getting HOT heat. Specifically, snowpocalypse when it was buried under two feet of snow it warmed up in minutes and the cab was already hot. The wife's XJ would barely get warmer than warm, but it was enough to keep the cab tolerable.
Trying to find pcr testing this week is impossible.
Testing we got was just negative positive or inconclusive. But says nothing on it about it being a covid test, at least on the results page.
The hindu temple on Bartlett Rd just north of Streamwood Blvd does rapid and pcr in their basement.
That’s goofy. I purposely made sure the wife didn’t do anything to quarantine when she tested positive, why postpone the inevitable. All got it, all be done with it soon, and our quarantine time overlapped which makes it convenient
Imagine if we got it all separately and actually tried to quarantine within a bedroom, would be impossible
If kristy got it and I shoved her in a room, I'd have 100% responsibility for entertaining the kid while working (this is impossible, anyone that tells you otherwise isn't actually working while "working from home")
Then I'd get it eventually and be shoved in a room while kristy had kid responsibilities and therefore had to "wfh" for that week (which would be a second full week of WFH which her workplace wouldn't like)
Then the kid would get it eventually and I'd have to "wfh" to watch him for a week
