Bro, I was literally looking at one last night.

HELOC is stupid go fun time.
Before signing the house contract I paid my lot off with a 4% interest-only HELOC lol. $75k cash for a sub-$300 payment :ROFLMAO:

I'm not telling alex where I found it because he'll make terrible terrible TERRIBLE decisions if he does that.

Yeah was reading about them for an hour yesterday.

2008/9 makes SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much more sense when everyone had jumbo ARMs and HELOCs out the ass like a personal ATM.
Yup, it's literally nothing like what we're seeing today. Home prices are increasing like they did in 2006 but the causes are completely different

I tallied up all my debt, added it to my house, and could still walk away selling my house with cash in hand (right now at least)

Also tallied up monthly debt spend vs a HELOC payment that I'd pay off in 3-4 years vs the 10/20 pull/pay scheme they got going. That also assumes I'd take on no more debt during that time and be a good little paying prole. Snowmobile ain't gunna buy itself.

It makes sense.

But.

It doesn't.

So I remain a wage cuck.

Does it make sense if you have ~$145k total in debt?
