I’m staying out of this one lol.

I think you get some pretty strong opinions about breeding and such when your S/O works in the veterinary field and you foster dogs that come from these environments.

I can't even bring up half of the shit that goes on. I told bae to just stop talking to me about what she sees.

Ear cropping is like giving a baby a face tattoo.. Once that baby hits the orphanage no one's gunna want it
I've never cropped any of my dogs ears as I think its cruel. However, my vet recommended we crop my male's ears that passed when he was a pup.
She said blue pits are notorious for ear infections due to their severe allergies and other shit. Had I did that when he was a pup, he would probably still be alive. He constantly had ear issues and constantly shook his head, sometimes violently. Thats what eventually killed him, he ruptured a blood vessel in his ear.

One of my buddies drove to New York Monday night to pick up the 1st of 2 French Bullies he bought. Crazy MFer paid $14k total for a male and female from separate litters. Has to go back for the female next month. I guess these dogs bring back huge returns when you breed them. Some puppies can go for $20k but average is between $7k-$10k.

Is he getting Merle ones? I hear that is one of the most sought after, but haven’t done much looking into frenchies….

A buddy has a Merle Great Dane that looks amazing.

Was he on any steady medication such as apoqeul?

We have our pit on medication daily for behavior and for allergies. He's currently on 2x/day antibiotics and he has to be bathed every other day as he had a current skin infection.

When he does have ear issues and his regular meds don't help we give him injections, flush his ears with a cleaner and rub foam on them.

We were lucky and no regular skin issues. Every 12-18 months he would have a skin issue and we would get a script that took care of it in a week or so.
My friends Mom has a blue (rescue) and he has severe skin issues. They had to put him on some expensive ass food on top of all the meds.

He’s going to be in for a lot of vet bills breeding them I bet, I believe they’re one of those breeds that need to be c-section births, and merles are really desirable but can come with a host of medical issues frequently.
Yup, he was already told that (c-section). He was also told that more than likely they will have to inject the sperm in to the female.
I guess its hard for them to fuck or hard for them to conceive when they do fuck.

They all come with medical issues. They are almost all shittily bred. Never mind the natural discourse of the breed itself.

The wife's uncle has a couple of those dumb little fucks (Frenchies). The things sound like they're constantly in pain with how they breathe and constantly snortling and seem to be gasping for air. Then he always keeps them in the basement because they're "so annoying" with said noises. He also (quite proudly, might I add) paid THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS for these stupid fucking dogs. WTF did you buy them for, then?

Yeah, the brachosyphallic (sp?) breeds can be noisy and gassy for sure.

I don’t understand the whole searching out a specific breed and then locking them in a basement thing though. I don’t have any issues with people buying from a breeder if they want a specific breed and are going to take care of the dog and be good owners

Multimillion dollar house in Inverness, near the Porsche dealer at Dundee/Barrington Rd. Saltwater in-ground pool. Huge multilevel deck. Paver driveway. Multiple 67-69 Mustangs and Maserati parked in/around the garage.

Leaves them locked in the finished basement shitting everywhere.
