Just for shits n giggles I went to my local chevrolet dealership. Needless to say the guy wanted to talk more about my car than the one he was trying to sell me. LOL(Cobalt SS) not going to happen. Thats like driving a neon in my opinion. Well we started getting to my favorite part as were talking. (performance). #1 he thought that my car was a 15 second car. I took him for a ride to show him he needs to study a little more. After the drive he thought it was real fast. Still slow to me. Dont know what he drives. Then he said there is no way you can compare performance against the GTP, or at least the 04s. He told me him and another guy saw 2 brand new Cobalts at the track (super charged) and they couldnt even break a 14 second quarter mile. He said the guys best time was a 15.2. I asked what the 60 foot was and he of course said he wasnt sure. Now I do understand he could have been left out on the knowledge of our cars but he seemed to know the cobalts fairly well and he said there slow. I was under the assumption these were going to be mid 14 second cars. Can you really screw the launch up that bad on a 4 cylinder or are they not all there cracked up to be? Sorry I didnt test drive it my self, but I probably should have. I didnt want to get caught in that.
