I saw that, awesome for servicing. Efficiency isn't a big deal IMO. it's not like you cruise one around like a boat for 8 hours. You're going to rip it around for an hour and put it away

yeah but if you have that lake house where it gets used by 12 different people for 8 hours straight, not having to refuel it and add oil to it all day would be great.

I may be buying one of these this season. Anyone ridden or know someone with one of these PWC's? I don't know anyone personally but from all the reviews and forums it seems that they are a huge hit.

60HP models start at just over $5k

you need to buy one of these and then go race jason05gt in the ultimate 0-35 show down up on lake G and record the results.

this thread :bowrofl:
the seadoo spark looks awesome, i'd buy one over some used raceski RXP that's going to need a rebuild every 80 hours any day.

i bought my stx-15 5 years ago. it had 40 hours on it, and i got it for $5k with trailer. i've done nothing but oil/filter changes every year. it's starts every time and rips all day without a hiccup.
the spark wasn't out when i bought my ski, but if it was i'd probably be on one instead. because something reliable > being fast. besides i'm usually cruising at 35-40mph anyway. usually it's busy out on the water, and hitting someone's wake at 65mph sucks

ive forgotten more about pwc's than you've ever known.

i would speed on a highway way before i sped on the puddle that's lake geneva.

ive seen way too many people get those awesome speeding tickets they enjoy handing out like candy.

Since you've forgotten so much, let me correct you:

Speed limit on LG is 35 on weekends. The radar signature of a PWC is small, so the chances of getting a ticket for speeding is slim. And the fact that there's ONE police boat on the Lake on most weekends....I've got hundreds of hours and nearly 20 years of riding PWC's on LG and never got a ticket.

Second, you picked a 0-30 time of an RX, which is not known for being quick out of the hole. They are propped for top end. An FZR by comparison does 0-30 in 1.5 second.

Lastly, you referred to the GPR as junk. I'll let this quote do all the talking "Championship Winning, Semi-V Hull: This hull is based on the same design as that of the world champion GP®1200R"

Just goes to show how much you forgot (or didn't know in the first place).

oh jason jason...

1. speed limit on lake geneva is 35 on weekends, yeah... 45 during the week... i have plenty of hours driving/riding on that lake as well... doesn't your gpr have under 200 hours on it IIRC? hundreds of hours riding on lake geneva... hahaha okay... as i said earlier, you rode what? twice last summer if that many times?

I know several people who have personally gotten tickets on pwc's on lake geneva.

2. sorry for not picking the pwc of the group that met your odd fucking criteria... i picked one that has 215 fucking horsepower  sorry that wasn't up to your narrow-minded standards.

3. sweet marketing words from 2003 uncle rico, let me know how many CHAMPIONSHIPS your awesome pwc with visibility spout wins you this year. and "hull is based" so much lameness proven in one quote... based :bowrofl:

and finally, your silliness really shines through here as you promote acceleration and top speed being the ONLY measures of a pwc.

60 mph pwc. sweet. so you can get from one end of lake geneva to the other side in 7 minutes while breaking the very enforced law the entire time. :bigthumb: way to go captain hardcore.

jason05gt.... do you wear gloves while riding? and a wetsuit? so that people remember how hardcore you are?

jason jumpin' cruiser wakes at 103 mph on forth of july weekend, 2004.

1. You assume that the GPR is the only ski I’ve ever ridden. Before I bought my GPR, I rode my friend’s skis - Sea Doo’s, Polaris, and Yamahas (including a Super Jet).

2. Not narrow minded, you picked a non-performance Sea Doo. I am just pointing out that number you posted isn’t the fastest.

3. Go on Greenhulk and look at what guys have done with GPR based hulls. Go look at the mods available for GPR’s. You’re lack of knowledge continues to show through.

What else is there to measure scientifically besides acceleration and top speed? You can’t measure “feel”, “experience” or “fun”. I guess car magazines should shut down as no one cares about performance numbers.

4. Stock GPR does 64 mph on a junk platform. Again, just goes to show your lack of knowledge.

And lol at the “very enforced”. Again, you have no clue what you are talking about. 1 police boat on the majority of the weekends amongst 100’s of boats (on Holidays the DNR does bring in a boat/pwc). That’s enforcement. Again, another KJ lack of knowledge.

Keep on tire kicking……….Buy one and let's line them up. I’ll pull a spark plug wire off to make it fair.

GP1300r is like the SRX of the pwc world. People will always swing, even if more advance stuff is out. They made the GP1300r from 2003-2009 IIRC so its not THAT old.

I acknowledge that the GPR is dated. Motor and pump technology has come a long ways. The hull is still solid as evidenced by guys that do motor swaps and run 80/90 mph.
