How do dealerships know which one is bad? Do they put the car on something and get a reading? I am just wondering? Thanks

It wont show if the hub is bad but if the sensor in the hub is. Your right to check hub just firmly hold the tire at 12 and 6 if play is present replace.Originally posted by Ron Vogel@Jul 13 2004, 08:25 AM
I don't know if a tech 2 can read that. Justin hooked his up to my car and it didn't show the hub I knew was bad for sure. If it's bad enough, just jacking up the car and shaking the wheel top to bottom can reveal a bad hub.
