3800 How to tell a bad wheel speed sensor??

How do dealerships know which one is bad? Do they put the car on something and get a reading? I am just wondering? Thanks

if your wheel sensor is bad you abs wil act up and you can loose spedometer because the wheel sensor is also what tells speed. As far as which one a tech 2 should be able to tell you that.

I don't know if a tech 2 can read that. Justin hooked his up to my car and it didn't show the hub I knew was bad for sure. If it's bad enough, just jacking up the car and shaking the wheel top to bottom can reveal a bad hub.

Yeap I had a bad Wheel bearing that Ron Vogel fixed it for me and connected the ABS sensor

It wont show if the hub is bad but if the sensor in the hub is. Your right to check hub just firmly hold the tire at 12 and 6 if play is present replace.

It better not be a wheel bearing, I just replaced one last year. Oh well, who knows
