Well since I'm a big reason for the split i'll put my two cents in here.We hate Scott cause he is a lying bastard. Wendy is cool and I do miss her but won't deal with Scott. They have done so many things behind people's backs that we got tired of it when we found out. How many people knew about the Michigan track event?? Noone and they didn't tell anyone the Presidents from Michigan slipped up and posted about it. How weak is that? Not even enough balls to tell people so that they can watch. You want to talk about hate and tring to hold back a club. How about they got the Presidents from Michigan to talk to Mike Nap. about not recognizing us as a club. How about the fact that they banned us cause the south siders had a little cliche going. We called ourselfs the SSCGPC .Who was in that cliche, anyone that wanted to show up on Fridays and Saturdays and just hang. Turned out to be about 10 of us. Did we keep it secret? Nope everyone was invited but the same 10 alwasy showed up. Those are the 10 that started this club up along with Thalord who showed up to have pizza with us one night.(Damn Alex remember what we were thinking that night??lol)
We were told what was going to happen and how. They banned a member they accused of stealing. Later was proven that he wasn't stealing, and even if he did who the hell cares he setup the events and his time is worth money also. After they found out he didn't steal money they refussed to appoligize(sp) and give him back his title of Event Coordinator. Opps did I give out to much info on who that was??? Oh well...
Why would we want to join a club that is dieing and has nothing to offer us but bring us back to where we were before? This club is only a year old and is already better and bigger then CGPC ever was.
I have been a founder of both clubs now. I was one of the starting 5 members of cgpc and one of the 10 here at ILGPC,and by far this club has continued to impress me daily. While that club falls and fails at everything they try.
As for tring to copy them defiantly not. We have some very strong sponsors before Intense and were working out details when we found out about pfyc. The only reason they posted it in the general section was to try and rub it in our faces. Why would they need to post it there since its a club sponsorship shouldn't teh people of that club see it on their site? As for posting about getting the sponsor in the Midwest forum thats not that big of a deal cause it recruits members and thats the idea. But specials shouldn't be posted there. It hurts the sponsors, that are supporting your club.
I have lots more to add but won't. If you want to find out about the whole split i'll get together with you and some other members that were a big part of the split. Hell I could even get one of the ones that were against us. And he can tell you the truth.
I first want to state that I will not get involved in this war between the two clubs but since I was called out in this post I will defend us.
First off Scott & Wendy were invited to MIS by US and it was not open to everyone in your club. We asked that they not say anything to anyone until afterwards not to upset anyone. They were invited not only as great friends but because we network well with them as far as being club presidents.
Regarding the ClubGP post we had NOTHING to do with that we don't even talk to Mike except at GPG and that's the truth. It took us over a year to get our club affiliation and tell you the truth didn't need it for our club to thrive.
We support all clubs equally it's just that over the years we've become friends outside of the "club hobby" which means were closer to some clubs than others. Were close with Wes & Chris Green from the Ohio as well.
This great hobby of ours is all about having fun and meeting great people we have meet people that will be friends long after our cars and interest are gone. These people have become part of our extended "family". That's what is most important to us not who has what sponsorship, club affiliation, etc.
