A friend of mine gave her healthy dog some treats that she bought in a grocery store and it ended up killing her pup. I just wanted to share the info for anyone who doesn't read the manufacture label for their animal treats.

Here's what she said:
70 dogs have died as a result of eating chicken jerky treats made from chicken that has come from China. Our puppy passed away suddenly on Saturday after eating one. DON'T feed your dogs any chicken treats from China. RIP Rocky :'( He was running around being his crazy self and an our later he died right in front of me. He was such an awesome dog.

It was a Waggin Train chicken treat.

I'm not sure where she got her statistics but I found a link online that confirms the problem. http://www.askavetquestion.com/news/2011/chicken-jerky-fanconi/

Amazon has a ton of bad reviews for them too. This must be a pretty widespread problem.

I never would have even known to check where anything was made honestly. That's why I posted it cuz it's kind of scary that this could have happened to me too, when I had my dog in FL.

Thank you for posting this. I am going to be looking at packages more closely to check the country of origin when buying food and treats for my puppy.
