Are you talking about a manual pallet jack or an electric?

A Crown electric walkie would be your best option for that capacity range... they’re built like tanks and you can crank the relief valve up to where you can lift up to 7K. Parts are cheap and readily available... and they’re simple to work on. Grab anything from the 90’s through late 2000’s for the best value.

A manual pallet jack will only net you close to 4K but they’re all considered throw away units since they don’t last long and you can buy them new for $200-400 depending on manufacture.

Pretty good deal here.. includes a 3 year warranty and they can get replacement parts for you. They’re located in Schaumburg behind The Drink. There are cheaper options out there (Grainger, Northern Tool, Etc), but keep in mind these units are considered throw aways.

Well that makes a difference. Hearing from someone that I know actually has one vs relying on online reviews that could be written by anyone.

ours gets used all day long. we have had it over a year now. goes up smooth, goes down smooth, rolls as smooth as the floor is. no complaints. it lets you know when you are close to the max limit, but 5k is a lot of weight so take that as it is. really anything over 2k, were using a forklift anyways, unless its just moving it a short distance because its in the way of getting something else.
