My 2 1/2 year old LG 17" LCD monitor stopped working last week. I was expecting to have to buy a new one but after checking their website, I discovered that LG monitors are covered by a 3 year replacement warranty. I called and gave them a credit card # and they are shipping me a refurbished replacement. When it arrives, I send my old monitor back in the same box [shipping paid by them] and they don't charge my card. Excellent customer service from the USA branch of a Chinese company. American companies could learn from this.
I wanted to pass this along in "Deals you've seen" so anyone who is in the market for a computer monitor can take the 3 year warranty into consideration. It saved me a couple hundred dollars.
