WTB: cheap daily driver

I'm looking for a cheap daily driver for a family memeber. The car doesn't have to be in perfect cosmetic condition, but needs to be mechanically sound. Please let me know if you have something for sale or know of anyone. The price is around $1500 (max, pref. around $1000). Thanks!
