if it was used on a grand am from 99 I'm pretty sure it is wide open just like most powrtuners. the software is what unlocked everything else anyway.

I forget which version the software is, but it is the software that lets it register and tune everything. Not the box. I actually still have a copy of it even though my PT is long gone.
