FS: Project cars! '54 Chevy Bel Air and Shay Model A Ford

if some one needs a project, I have two cars that would great for you. First is:

Shay Model A. Some background info on these. Back in the early 80's Shay built fiberglass bodies of Model A's for ford the 50th anniversary, a Roadster, a pickup, and a Phaeton. They then put them on a frame and used pinto drivetrain and sold them at ford dealerships as a modified pinto basically. I have one that was a never built and is the rarest of the body styles, the phaeton.

The fiberglass isn't chinsy like most of todays reproduction bodies. I have a chrome grille shell, hood, the doors and door frames. all you need is a motor/trans and driveshaft basically and to make it your own.

$3500

Up next is a 1954 Chevrolet Bel-air 2 door hardtop.

Solid kansas car. it's been in my family for 25+ years and never been out of storage. I don't have time for it, would make a nice project for someone.

It's really only trouble areas are in the trunk...see pics

i'm assuming it has a 258 in it? not sure if they are same as a V8...my dad was the more knowledgable one. i might have one but i'd have to look, linkage, probably not.

haha, it WAS a factory 304 car, but now it has a nice little warmed up 360 in it, needless to say the stock trans is not holding up so i want to convert it to a 5 spd. clutch linkage is gonna be a pain in the ass to find, but the bellhousings to my knowledge were the same weather it was the straight six or the V8 , the bell housing bolt pattern was the same.

heres some quick clips of my pacer

nope 5 spd, looking into to getting a Tremec TKO-500 trans and adapting the bellhousing to work with the trans, and the pacers came with 998 a somewhat solid trans behind stock motors but ive scoured the internet since ive bought and found little aftermarket for them, plus i want to try and up the gas mileage by putting a 5 spd in and put a more aggressive gearing out back. and thanks i really like the way it sounds, always get goofy looks when i start it up at meets
