if some one needs a project, I have two cars that would great for you. First is:
Shay Model A. Some background info on these. Back in the early 80's Shay built fiberglass bodies of Model A's for ford the 50th anniversary, a Roadster, a pickup, and a Phaeton. They then put them on a frame and used pinto drivetrain and sold them at ford dealerships as a modified pinto basically. I have one that was a never built and is the rarest of the body styles, the phaeton.
The fiberglass isn't chinsy like most of todays reproduction bodies. I have a chrome grille shell, hood, the doors and door frames. all you need is a motor/trans and driveshaft basically and to make it your own.
$3500
Up next is a 1954 Chevrolet Bel-air 2 door hardtop.
Solid kansas car. it's been in my family for 25+ years and never been out of storage. I don't have time for it, would make a nice project for someone.
It's really only trouble areas are in the trunk...see pics
